Water jet phenomenon formed during bubble interaction with rigid boundary was got by a series of near-field underwater explosion experiment. The experiment result shows that the process of water jet formed is determined by detonation distance. The process of the bubble oscillation will not be affected at the condition of detonation distance more than 1.4R, where R is the first bubble expand maximum radius. Along with the distance diminished, the process of bubble oscillation will be affected by gravity and Bjerknes force. The direction of water jet will beat the steel plate perpendicularity just detonation distance less than 1.0R. The pressure of bubble pulse is very low at detonation distance less than 1.0R because of water jet has used a lot of bubble energy. At the same time, the result of strain gauge shows that the maximum strain of steel plate impacted by water jet is same as shock waves.
