摘要

The shortage of animation talent becomes the bottleneck for the future development of Chinese animation industry. For the animation education in Chinese universities is still in its initial stage, its talent training model and curriculum are immature and graduates are not competent for the work in the real animation industry. In this paper, we choose the character animation programing California Institute of the Arts as an example and examine the characteristic of its curriculum design. We study the specialty provision, learning goals, and course system systemically and find out some useful information for improving Chinese animation education.
