A novel emulsification process to prepare stableO/W nano- and (normal, not temporary)W/O/W multiple emulsions using a low-energyemulsification method based on phase inversionprocesses have been developed. The emulsionswere subjected to long-term and accelerated(thermal and centrifugal stress) stability testing.A systematic evaluation was conducted todetermine the effects of different process andformulation variables. The insights gained havegeneral applicability to emulsion systems fromboth a practical and theoretical point of view.
