摘要

Quercetin is a natural compound that has shownseveral biological activities. However, this compound ishighly metabolized by the liver and exhibit a low aqueoussolubility that turn the administration by the intravenousroute seemingly impossible1. Hence, the development ofquercetin-loaded nanocarrier systems may be consideredas a promising way to exploit its therapeutic properties inclinic. Lipid nanocarriers composed by tristearin, castoroil or a mixture of them were prepared in order toevaluate if the quercetin encapsulation increases with theaddition of a liquid lipid. Two different surfactants wereemployed to formulate the nanoparticles and thephysicochemical and morphological properties of thedifferent systems were characterized and compared.
