The core-shell micellar nanocomplex were spontaneously constructed by self-assembly from (-)-epigallocatechin-3-O-gallate (EGCG) and proteins. This system functioned to switch the "sleeping and awakening" of the bioactivities of those assembled molecules upon complexation and dissociation. This green tea-sourced nanocomplex micelle presents an unprecedented drug delivery system, which takes advantages of EGCG bioactivities.
