Anti-angiogenic Actions of Liposomal Prednisolone Phosphate on Tumor-Associated Inflammatory Cells In Vivo

Prednisolone phosphate (PLP) encapsulated in long-circulating liposomes inhibits tumor growth by inhibition of angiogenesis. In this study we show that one of the major mechanisms of action of liposomal PLP is based on specific reduction of the level of pro-angiogenic factors that are produced by tumor-associated macrophages (TAM).
