Chemical and physical characterization of a 1 :1wt : wt Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) /Ethyl cellulose (EC) blend has been performed.Raman chemical imaging has shown the blendconsists of a HPMC enriched matrix, containing ECenriched domains. Atomic Force Microscopy hasalso distinguished the EC and HPMC phases.
