Thermoresponsive polymers having poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) unit were applied as DNA carriers for the temperature-controllable gene delivery system, which will make possible the time and site specific gene expression. Interactions between these polymer carriers and DNA were investigated by the EtBr intercalation assay. Correlation between the affinity to DNA and the transfection efficiency of polymer carriers were discussed.
