摘要

Scattering properties of a textured SnO_2 transparent conductive oxide on glass substrate were investigated by Total Integrated Scattering and Angular Resolved Scattering measurements. The descriptive parameters of scattering, i.e. haze and angular distribution functions of scattered light were determined. The haze parameters of the internal interfaces of the solar cells are calculated using modified equations of the scalar scattering theory. Our semi-coherent optical model is updated with experimentally determined scattering parameters and verified by comparing the simulated and measured external quantum efficiency and short circuit currents of four a-Si:H solar cells with different intrinsic layer thicknesses. The effect of increasing the interface roughness of a-Si:H solar cells on the external quantum efficiency was investigated by using the updated model.
