Among many alternative routes of hydrogen generation, the microbiological ways belong to the most promising ones. Microbiological methods of hydrogen generation consist of biophotolysis of water, indirect biophotolysis, "dark" fermentation, and photofermentaion [1]. Literature data and our earlier results showed that the application of photoheterotrophic bacteria in hydrogen generation processes can lead towards designing installations on a larger scale and, as a consequence, hydrogen generation on a small industrial scale.
