The present invention relates to a Rhodobactersphaeroides KNU-04 strain (Accession No. KCTC 13065BP) having a plant growth promoting and nitrogen fixing ability, and a microbial preparation using the same. The new strain of the present invention has been experimentally confirmed to have plant growth promoting ability and nitrogen fixing ability, and thus can be usefully used for environmentally friendly farming.
