Relative motion plays an improtant role for the design of the connectors and mooring lines of practical multiple floating offshore structures such as Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) and LNG model in waves and the numerical models are of growing improtance in the design stage of such structures. In this paper, such a model is described for the prediction of absolute motions, relative motions of the multiple floating offshore structures moored in seas. The mathematical model is based on equation of motion in frequency domain and as well as in time domain to allow non-linearity of wind forces, wave drift forces, the reaction forces due to connectors and mooring lines.
