Autonomous Decentralized Service System SupplyingUser-Oriented Information Services

We use many different kinds of information services for the Intelligent Transport System(ITS). The circumstances of service users change in accordance with their activities, and thedifferences between people require that a variety of services be offered. An ITS informationservice platform has been developed in order to provide information services based on a user'sprofile and on where the user is. This platform provides seamless, one-to-one, and one-stopservices. A seamless service offers different services according to the user's circumstances,such as the terminal used. A one-to-one service provides services according to a user's profile.And a one-stop service gathers information from many systems and provides an integratedservice. This paper describes the ITS service concept and a model of an ITS informationservice platform. It also describes a service application that uses this service platform toprovide the services of a travel assistant.
