The thermochemical decomposition of waterby cyclicreactions is considered to be one of the most prmising method to produce hydrogen from thermal energy because of the availability of clean renewable nergy wihtou the emission of carbon dioxide and air pollutants. Since the compcetual idea of thermochemical water doecomposition by cyclic reactions was presented by Funk (1 2), more than 100 thermochemical cycles have been proposed. Howevr, most of them have not been successful because of poor reactivity of the cyclic reaction and/or the difficulty of product separation.
