The stress intensity solutions presented herein were obtained using an energy method in conjunction with a two-dimensional finite element program in order to explcityly account for curvature effect for fully circumferential cracks. The magnificantion factors for a specific crack depth were calculated by successively loading the crack surface by a uniform, linear, quadratic, and a cubic loading distribution. The magnification factors can be used to calculate the stress intensity factors by superposition method.
