IN SITU STXM STUDY OF GROWTH PROCESS IN SILICA GEL

摘要

The scanning transmission x-ray microscopy (STXM) of the Synchrotron Radiation Source at the Daresbury Laboratory UK has been used in situ to monitor the growth process in silica gel at pH value around 7. The images illustrate the early stages of grown aggregates within the silica sol, the crosslinking of clusters and the process of syneresis in silica gel.
