摘要

Wave groupiness is an important characteristic of ocean waves, andrnwaves in quick succession are regarded as wave groups, which affectsrnthe behavior of a moored ship system directly. As a need forrnunderstanding the interaction between groupiness and the motionrnbehavior of a moored ship, a mathematical model of a moored shiprnunder the action of waves with the same wave parameters, such asrnsignificant wave height and period, but with different groupinessrnfactors of height GFH is established and presented in this paper. Thernnumerical results show that the motion behavior of a moored ship isrngreatly affected by the wave groups compared with random waves withrnsame energy. The sway motions increase with an increase in GFH, inrncontrast to the influence of wave groups on the motion of heave is weak.rnUnder the action of wave groups, the surge motion spectrum peakrnfrequency is so close to the natural frequency that it may lead to thernmoored ship larger motion responses.
