Educational Program using Robotics on Elementary School

摘要

Several kinds of robots (AIBO, ASIMO and so on) have been popular at the entertainment field in recent years. Related to this mater, interests for the robotics are also increasing in all kinds of people. On the other hand, the problem about increasing the children who have no interest for the science and technology is recently becoming worse. In this paper, some teaching programs using small robot kits are proposed in order to apply them to the elementary school based on the results of questionnaire survey for the 200 elementary schools in Japan and 52 elementary schools in Toyohashi city, Aichi. Proposed teaching programs ware demonstrated at the Robotic event for the elementary school students in Toyohashi Univ. of Tech. and their effectiveness will be validated through the follow-up survey.
