Dynamics of p53 network and Eagl channel regulated by Nutlin-3

The ether a go-go-1(Eagl) channel has been shown to be overexpressed in a variety of cancers. The activation of p53 by nutlin-3 induced cell growth arrest and reduced Eagl protein level. However, the regulatory dynamics between p53 network and Eagl is unclear. In this study, mRNA levels of p53 and Eagl regulated by Nutlin-3 were observed in long-term. The results showed that p53 and Eagl have strong regulatory relationships, and p53 can reduce the expression level of Eagl in a short time, and the expression level of Eagl changes with the concussion of p53 expression. This result will help us understand the regulation dynamics of p53 and Eagl.
