Unit learning outcomes include capabilities, competencies and professional skills that student will achieve at the end of each unit. This paper explains the mapping of learning outcomes onto various assessment tasks.This paper also discusses how to map the attributes of the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) to assessment tasks to make possible the acquisition of the required attributes. We first introduce the AQF framework, establish a mapping between the attributes required by the framework and appropriate assessment activities to be able to attain them, and illustrate our approach with an example taken from our units. The analysis of students' results at the end of trimester shows that assessments tasks are appropriately designed, developed and implemented.
