Trieste musical liveness comes from Habsburgical times. Teatro Verdi 1801 copy of Milan La ScalaItalian opera house, Rossetti 1890 multipurposehall and dozens of various small theatres and musichalls make this special north-eastern Italian city a perfect study case for acoustics versus noiserelationship during performance. In situ measurements and data analysis reveal interestingperception parameters sometimes not in accordance with acoustical measurements and bestpractice. This article will try to understand some specific noise effects affecting the performanceitself.
