Objective: To study the mental health and personality of psychological commissioners and provide the timely help and pertinence training the healthy psychology and good personality in order to make them competent for the job and develop it smoothly in the future. Methods: 4531 persons which are included 337 psychological commissioners in grade 2010 freshmen were investigated by using Symptom Checklist 90 (SCL-90). 3540 freshmen which are included 240 psychological commissioners were investigated by using Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ). Results: In SCL-90, the total score and different factors values of those psychological commissioners were markedly lower than the other freshmen. In addition to somatization, hostility, the contrasts of the other scores are statistical (P<0.05). In EPQ, In E items, the score the psychological commissioners got is higher than the other freshmen. While in L item, the score is lower (P<0.01). As those psychological commissioners' mental health, only the contrast of phobic anxiety is statistical between male and female (P<0.0). To the students of different majors, those scores have no obvious differences (P>0.05). In EPQ , As those psychological commissioners' personality, the score in P item that the female got is lower than that the male got, while in E N L items, the scores are higher than those the male got. Score in L is statistical (P<0.01). Those scores in P E N L have no obvious differences in different majors (P>0.05). Conclusions: The psychological commissioners' mental healthy level is obviously better than other students. The personality characteristics of the psychological commissioners are suitable for the mental health education. There is no big difference of mental health and personality characteristics of psychological commissioners among different group members. All these results remind us that the choosing standard is very important when we choose the psychological commissioners. Furthermore, we should strengthen the psychological commissioners training.
