摘要

This paper proposes a new approach for the shape design and the manufacturing of the cylindrical cam.rnThe design approach uses the relative velocity method and the manufacturing approach exploits the inversernkinematics theory. For the shape design, the contact points between the cam and the follower roller are calculatedrnbased on relative velocity, and the whole shape of cam is determined from coordinate transformation. For thernmanufacturing procedures, integral NC code for multi-axis CNC machining center is created using the inversernkinematics theory from the data of the location and the orientation of cutter path. Finally, a computer program isrndeveloped on C~(++) language to perform shape design, manufacturing simulation, and generating NC code.
