Also in the Chinese printing industry UV technology is more and more winning recognition. No matter whether it is about sheetfed or narrow web rotary offset printing for high quality packaging Such as cigarette boxes, or about narrow web flexo printing for labels or wide web flexo printing for liquid packaging, UV technology has already been used in China for any of these applications for the curing of inks and varnishes. This has certainly been due to the advantages of the UV technology which are: printing on non-absorbing materials, direct further treatment of the print products (also inline), manufacturing of high quality print products, obtaining of high gloss and matt varnish effects and no using of solvents. Thus Chinese printers who rely on UV technology surely strengthen their international competitiveness.
