The invention relates to the field of industrial technologies, in which book production processes, combining various operations starting from single sheets, can be implemented by means of binding albums, files and printed sheets. Specifically, the invention relates to a novel method for the printing layout of books, magazines and the like, on printed sheets, for the graphic arts industry, which is used to organise the pages of a book such that they can be folded on folding sheets. The method is characterised in that it involves structuring a digital matrix for the printing layout of pages on a folding sheet, taking into account the size of the page of the book and the printer, printing in groups of folding sheets and adding guide tabs which allow better identification of the folding sheets.
