A Configurable Resource Management Aspects System for Distributed Computing

One of the most challenging tasks in developing language support for distributed software development is related to the type of resource management capability to provide. This paper presents an adaptation reflective framework, which is based on the notion of open implementation and aspects, to support better resource management capability of the host language. End-user requirements can be expressed as aspects and being incorporated into the target base language without adversely impacting the host language. This enables the development of intelligent distributed software capable of adapting to the environment for better resource management. It also enables the developers the ability to fine-tune the existing or the newly formulated scheduling aspects until a desired one is obtained during software design.
