The Single Point Of Failure of large-capacity multiple-NIC results in incredible loss because its system serves large capacity of multimedia data. Therefore, to prevent loss coming from faults, fault tolerant mechanism is required. And, it is classified into TMR, Primary-Standby Approach, Watchdog Packet. However, these mechanisms are based on resource redundancy and increase down-time because of continuous checking. So, in this Paper we propose an efficient fault tolerance mechanism which is designed to minimize down-time and to increase resource availability.
