Application of world wide web on civic education: a proposed model

摘要

The Internet currently reacher over 30 millions of people in over 61 countries and there are around 300,000 internet users in Hong Kong. The number of Internet Services Providers (ISP) increases rapidly to over 40 in a years' period. The Internet is revolutionizing the way we work, learn and play. Although there are many different services on Internet, World Wide Web (WWW) is the most interesting browsing method. WWW is a distributed hypermedia system embedded in the Internet and it is a powerful education tool due to its multimedia capabilities.
