A Research on the Risks and Prevention Strategies of BOT Project

BOT (build-operation-transfer) project is extensively applied in infrastructure construction in the world. However, due to the complexity of the project, a lot of risks will be aroused in the process of implementing. Therefore, how to guard against the risks becomes the core of the project implementation. This paper has discussed the risk characteristics of BOT project, and analyzed the existent risks. It has put forward countermeasure strategy of BOT project risks. Three-dimension system of countermeasure strategy should be established, and contract management should be strengthened. What's more, the reasonable risk-sharing principle must be established so as to effectively guard against risks.
