摘要

The future of healthcare is dramatically changing with technology advances acquiring an increasingly important role in vulnerable groups of people. The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of a computer-based training software on improving the cognitive functions of cognitively impaired children; a second grade student of a primary school with Simpson-Golabi-Behmel syndrome and a fourth grade student of a primary school with learning difficulties. For the purpose of this study, cognitive assessments before and after the intervention were performed by a psychologist in order to evaluate the students' cognitive status and the possible cognitive improvement of the students after the intervention. Results have shown performance improvement in variety of functions, such as Attention, Brain Speed, working Memory, Skills, Intelligence and Navigation. These findings are encouraging, as well as insightful and could have significant effects in the development of online brain software as an innovative tool for the improvement of cognitive decline.
