Domotic control system for blinds with zigbee communication mobile device

摘要

In this paper, a mobile device based domotic control system that allows blinds/curtains to be controlled through Zigbee communication is presented. The main intention of this development is to get a prototype of a domotic system implementing open-source software and low-cost hardware to reduce the development cost and provide a functional environment, which can interact with user through mobile technology, having the capability of operating home devices such as roller shades, providing high comfort level and user satisfaction in homes. The prototype implementation of the proposed system is evaluated based on the electrical consumption after functionality tests.
