Voltage quality of AC Traction Power System (TPS) can greatly affect the operational safety of EMU and reliability of train-mounted equipment. However, it is very difficult to assess voltage quality due to strong randomness of traction load. In this paper, a train-mounted online monitoring and early warning device and supporting system are developed. In this device, a set of data preprocessing methods combining data acquisition strategy and data screening mechanism is designed for satisfying monitoring requirements of continuity real-time, which achieve abnormal data screening and avoid data redundancy. For the collected overvoltage data, a hierarchical identification method based on fault tree for threshold judgment method is proposed to realize online overvoltage identification. The rationality and effectiveness of algorithm are verified by measured data and computer simulation. Moreover, it is meaningful for further research on GPS-based assistant decision-making, which can achieve voltage quality analysis in both dimensions of time and space for state maintenance.
