Ship Life-Saving Training System Based on Virtual Reality Technology

In order to improve the efficiency of life-saving equipment training and ensure the safety of trainees, this paper analyzes the functional requirements of the ship lifesaving training system and designs the overall structure of it. With two collaborative working modes designed, a method of multi-role collaborative training is proposed to achieve multiuser training which is very flexible. The system has built a virtual database of scene and taken the method of regularly acquiring and sending data to solve the problem of collaborative simulation. The three-dimensional modeling software and Unity3D engine are used to build scenes of fire, stormy waves, wrecks and men overboard etc. A series of lifesaving process are simulated. Finally, the virtual training system of free-fall lifeboat is developed. The system is stable by tested, possessing a good training effect.
