The real structured singular value μ is effective for robustrnstability analysis of systems with structured uncertainty.rnSeveral methods for obtaining upper bounds of 1 have beenrnproposed, however, it is difficult to obtain the true value ofrnμ. In this paper we propose a new calculation method forrnan upper bound of real structured singular value μ by StabilityrnFeeler, which is a new robust stability analysis toolrnproposed by T. Matsuda et al.. It is shown that defined upperrnbound and lower bound of an upper bound of μ can berncalculated by using Stability Feeler. To obtain sharper upperrnbound of μ by using the bisection method, a method torncheck in which section the upper bound of μ exists is alsorngiven. Finally, we compare the result of a numerical examplernto those obtained by the other methods including thatrnusing the robust semidefinite program (robust SDP).
