In conventional technology, the Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) based transistors has many problems such as limited speed, high cost, high leakage current, larger size. A quantum dot cellular automata (QCA) is emerging as one of the important nanotechnology to overcome above problems. A number of QCA basic gates have been proposed in the literature for logic design. A novel design of new gate has been proposed in this paper. Our proposed gate can implement all gates proposed so far as well as circuits at lower cost and covered smaller area. The results have been verified using QCA Designertool.
