PHONEME TRANSCRIPTION BY A COUNTERPROPAGATION NETWORK

摘要

A Counterpropagation neural network is introduced as a new method for transcription of text. The transcription regime is based on Sampa notation for Norwegian. The network is trained on about 35000 Norwegian words. The performance of the CP network is tested on 10000 unknown words. The performance is compared with similar results obtained by a MLP network presented in earlier papers.
