Impulse transients in the cable transformer

Lightning impulse transient voltages in cablerntransformer (type DryformerTM ) are considered. Therncomputer calculation of transient voltages (the valuesrnand the forms) are made for estimation of the features ofrnthese transients. The cable winding has no longitudinalrncapacitance. It has also no longitudinal insulation andrnhas only main insulation. The overvoltages in such arnwinding may be considerably higher than the line endrnvoltage. These values depend on the ratio between thernnatural frequencies of the winding oscillation and therntemporal parameters of the impacting impulse.
