摘要

This work presents two different processes to the recycling of obsolete or defective printed circuit boards, pertaining to electronic equipments, specially personal computers, in order to compare their results. First, it was used density separation with organic liquids (tetrabromoethane) to recover existent metals in printed circuit boards. The second method used was magnetic separation, followed by electrostatic one. The main aim of this work was the recovery of copper from printed circuit boards. The quantity of copper recovered in density separation was about 55%, and in electrostatic separation, about 47,6%.
