A User Interface for Generating Dynamic Abstracts of Retrieved Documents

We introduce a newly-developed interface for generating dynamic abstracts of retrieved documents. The abstracts generated are dynamic in the sense that the user can control their lengths interactively. In this way, the user can browse through documents very efficiently. We have achieved real-time abstract generation by feeding the stored documents beforehand to the document structure analyzer which performs document organization analysis and text structure analysis.
