The paper introduces what contamination means, the impact of changes to ISO Standards on fluid cleanliness and the importance of on-line monitoring. With the development of computer technology more and more on-line monitoring instruments will come into being. And we can think about that more and more industries and technicians will recognize and except on-line monitoring techniques.
