摘要

This paper describes improvements in flexural strengths of kaolin specimens reinforced with polypropylene fibre alone and with either lime or cement. Results show that whilst there was only a limited improvement in the maximum flexural strength with fibre reinforced specimens they retained greater than 50 % of the peak strength after peak load. Peak flexural strengths were increased with the addition of lime or cement and the mixes with cement exhibited excellent durability.
