In this report, the micro hopping robots which have a simple locomotion mechanism and sensory elements have been developed to dispatch into the craves of rubble to detect the alive human. This small robot consists of micro eccentric motor for hopping and thrusting with the help of resonating vibration, and micro sensory element, button battery as well as electronics for detecting the signal source. Moreover, this tiny robot has the ability of the self-righting to keep moving to the target even if it drops from the step. In the primary experiment, many small robots with optical micro sensor have been designed and developed to demonstrate that they can move toward to the light source under the dark environment and the performances such as reliability and durability are discussed.
