摘要

Fluidization of cohesive starch powders was studied in a vibrated fluidized bed. Agglomerates size da in the bed after fluidization was determined by capturing the agglomerate images using SEM. The observed da was compared with correlation of Mawatari et al., 2Q03 [12], a modified Chaouki et al., 1985 [2] model as well as new model was proposed in this work by adding a vibrational force into model of Iwadate and Horio, 1998 [5] and obtained a reasonable prediction of agglomerate size.
