This paper supposes a scenario that ATMrnnetworks accommodate CBR connections from real-rntime sources and VBR connections from non real-timernsources. The CBR sources require the guarantee of therndelay time as the QoS. On the other hand, the VBRrnsources are relatively tolerable to delay, although theyrnmay require the guarantee of the cell loss ratio. Forrnthis scenario, we develop a connection admission con-rntrol which attempts to guarantee the cell delay of thernCBR sources and the cell loss ratio of the VBR sources.rnThe CAC developed in this paper is based on both therneu000bective bandwidths of the CBR and VBR sources andrnthe delay distribution of CBR cells.
