Customer —My experience with the County Water Department was very different from what I've read here. We had a bad water leak in December. The problem was on our side of the water meter. We called a plumber and the problem was permanently resolved right away. However, we were billed $500 because the leak went on all night. When I got the bill I emailed customer service and asked for any consideration they could give us for this extremely high bill. The next day I had an email from customer service and our bill was reduced from $500 to $170. I can't imagine a more fair resolution to this problem since we did, legally, owe the entire bill.
