摘要

We present a translation stage designed specifically for a watt balance experiment. A watt balance [1] is an electromechanical apparatus used to measure the Planck constant h as a function of a standard mass. Several national metrology laboratories have build or are building such an apparatus. Results obtained by these experiments could be used to redefine the SI~1 unit of mass if the relative uncertainty reach at most 10~(-8), overcoming the instabilities of the international prototype of the kilogram [2]. The design of the LNE experiment (formerly BNM experiment) is described in [3].
