Consequence models have been applied to facility siting studies only in the recent past .Traditionally more simplified methods such as TNT equivalency methods have been used which have their own limitations and thus cannot be consistently applied to all types of processing facilities. This paper discusses a case where computational fluid dynamics has been used in conjunction with the more traditional Multi-Energy method to give realistic and credible blast loads for a LNG vrocessinz vessel.
