摘要

The deformability and buckling problems are very important in FRP material and they influence the design criteria. Thus, the evaluation of the elastic constants of the material is an important matter. In this paper different test procedures are analyzed. Direct tensile and torsional tests on specimens were carried out to define the Young's modulus and shear modulus of material; these values are also compared to that evaluated by indirect bending tests on the same specimens. Moreover the elastic constants are evaluated directly on the entire beam by indirect bending and torsional tests. The comparison between the different results points out the necessity of testing not only simple specimens but also entire elements.
