A novel technique is presented in this paper, which is capable of extending path loss map predictions from field measurements to areas that cover the entire building, and not only confined to the measurement route, as part of an indoor wireless design system methodology based on measurements. The accuracy of this method is demonstrated with an extensive set of measurements performed in an office building, at 1800 MHz, for which predictions are validated using a segmentation technique that is described here.
