This paper propose a concept of a programmable PLD controller, using programmable pulse width modulated inverter technique, which can eliminate specific low frequency harmonics, and can improve the performance of piezoelectric actuators, decrease energy loss and reduce low frequency harmonic in power circuit.rnProgrammable pulse width modulated inverter can adjust amplitude and frequency of the AC power source by varying the duty cycle of the control signal, which can be easily implemented by microprocessor. It can be applied in the piezoelectric ceramic vibrator controller, by varying output waveform for different frequency setting condition.rnIn the experiment, the controller can eliminate specific low frequency harmonics and effectively promote the performance. Finally, the system is implemented by an eight bits single chip microcomputer, to reduce the control circuit complexity and decrease the total fabrication cost.
